La Foret is hosting "Bluegrass" in the Pines" on Saturday, August 9th, 2008 from 2-7pm. Gates open at 1pm for this family friendly show and the music will be performed from 2-7pm.
Admission is just $10 per carload.
Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, kites, balls, frisbees and bathing suits (the swimming pool will be open) There will be food and drinks for sale. Attendees are asked not to bring coolers or pets.
Bluegrass in the Pines will feature local bluegrass favorites: Acme Bluegrass, The Ackermans, and Grass It Up. Headlining the show will be national artists Pete Wernick and Flexigrass. Wernick was founder of the very popular bluegrass band Hot Rize.
Bluegrass in the Pines is being sponsored by KRCC, Bristol Brewing Company, The Colorado Springs Independent, the Bee Vradenburg Foundation, and A Music Company Inc.
La Foret is located in Black Forest, at 6145 Shoup Rd. between Highway 83 and Black Forest Rd.
